The Fund will invest in a concentrated portfolio of well established, high performing, and typically difficult to access venture capital managers in order to earn a superior return to both public equity markets and the median venture capital benchmarks. To achieve this goal, TrueBridge Capital will rely on the relationships and networks the team has built over the last twenty-five plus years as private equity investors. In addition, TrueBridge Capital and the Kauffman Fellows Program have negotiated a mutually exclusive strategic partnership and the deep and broad network of the Kauffman Fellows Program will assist TrueBridge in generating attractive deal flow, performing insightful and in-depth due diligence, and building meaningful relationships with the best venture and growth equity managers in the business. In exchange, TrueBridge donates a material portion of its carried interest to the Kauffman Fellows Program, to build a long-term endowment and enable its future success.
Since 1995, the Kauffman Fellows Program has graduated over 200 Fellows who work at some of the most well known venture capital firms in the world including Battery Ventures, Domain Associates, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, New Enterprise Associates, Venrock Associates, Sequoia Capital, among others. In addition, the Program is the only organization of its kind whose sole mission is to improve the quality of education within the venture capital industry. Currently, TrueBridge Capital is the single largest financial source for the Program.
With over 60 Kauffman Fellows directly invested in the Fund as limited partners, the Fund enjoys unique investment access to the best fund managers in the world, as well as tremendous insight into industry and firm specific trends. The TrueBridge Capital team has harnessed the power of this network to build a concentrated portfolio of the best managers.
